Everyone knows that in a battle between foxes and chickens, the chickens will always come off second best - that is, until the chickens of Foxearth farm put their minds to the problem. Unlike ordinary chickens, they can run very fast on their long legs, and fly great distances. In spite of al this, however, they are in constant danger from marauding foxes - until one hot summer, when things suddenly begin to change.

Meet the most quick-witted, courageous and highly-skilled flock of chickens ever to live in a farmyard! He lives with his family in a hutch and is visited every day by Biddy, who is desperate to take him home to be her pet - if only her mum and dad would let her.
