Márquez’s hyper aggressive riding style has made him many enemies, and his epic championship battle with Valentino Rossi in 2015 led to one of the most controversial moments in the history of MotoGP.

But his story off the track is just as incredible: devastating accidents, surgeries and recoveries, racing on despite a diagnosis that left him knowing one more head injury could leave him blind. His self-admittedly ruthless personality and desire to win make him an explosive, dominant and at times controversial character.

Told by bestselling author Stuart Barker, with the insight of rivals, team members, pundits, managers and many close to his story, this is the a story of pure sporting theatre and white-knuckle speed twinned with real human drama. Marc Marquez: Everything or Nothing is the Márquez told in full for the very first time.

The Holocaust has given rise to many accounts of resistance and rescue, but The Counterfeit Countess is unique. It tells the remarkable, untold story of ‘Countess Janina Suchodolska’, a Jewish woman named Janina Mehlberg who rescued more than 10,000 Poles imprisoned by their country’s Nazi occupiers.

Janina Mehlberg operated in Lublin, headquarters of Aktion Reinhard, the SS operation that murdered 1.7 million Jews in occupied Poland. Using the identity papers of a Polish aristocrat, she worked as a welfare official while also serving in the Polish resistance. With guile, cajolery, and steely persistence, ‘the Countess’ persuaded SS officials to release thousands of Poles from the Majdanek concentration camp. She won permission to deliver food, clothing and medicine for thousands more of the camp’s prisoners. At the same time, she personally smuggled supplies and messages to resistance fighters imprisoned at Majdanek, where 63,000 Jews were murdered in gas chambers and shooting pits. Incredibly, she eluded detection, survived the war and eventually emigrated to the USA.

Drawing on the manuscript of Mehlberg’s own unpublished memoir, supplemented with prodigious research, Elizabeth White and Joanna Sliwa, professional historians and Holocaust experts, have uncovered the full story of this extraordinary woman. They interweave Mehlberg’s sometimes harrowing personal testimony with broader historical narrative. Unsparing yet inspiring, The Counterfeit Countess is an unforgettable account of selfless courage in the face of unspeakable cruelty, and a major addition to the history of the Holocaust.

From Sunday Times bestselling author Lesley-Ann Jones

Scandalous affairs and public divorce. Addiction and fiery passion. And of course, the iconic song writing…

Christine McVie – born Christine Perfect – was the quintessentially English rock star, as both the backbone and the beating heart of Fleetwood Mac.

Straddling the band’s incarnations to achieve global fame alongside Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham and John McVie, the classic line-up, she wrote and performed many of their greatest hits.

As famous for their occasionally life-threateningly decadent lifestyles as for their musical brilliance, they were held together by this strong, constant figure whom they dubbed ‘the mother’ of the band. It was Christine who contained the flock, regrouped them when they went AWOL, focused and blended their talents and always got them back on track.

And yet, as the ‘engine’ of the band during their Rumours era – an album that unwittingly charted the complete romantic disintegration within the band – Christine’s personal life was every bit as tempestuous as those of her bandmates, weathering affairs, divorce, addiction and fiery passion, all of which bled into her now iconic song-writing.

Told by an author who herself was friends with Christine, and with new contributions from those who knew her best, Songbird offers a true insider’s view, and deep psychological insight into Christine as a both a woman and a musician – the first, the only, the ultimate picture of a rock legend and a national treasure.

The condemned and their associates had endured six months of accusations, imprisonment and torture; their treatment was such that one of the group died in Lancaster Castle’s dungeons, while awaiting trial.

Today, a thriving tourism industry exists in and around Pendle, the former home of the so-called witches, yet virtually everything we know about the case originates from a single source: Thomas Potts’ Wonderfull Discoverie of Witches, hurriedly published in 1613 and distinctly skewed in favour of the prosecution. Until now…

Sunday Times bestselling author Carol Ann Lee brings an entirely fresh perspective to the story by approaching it as true crime. Having worked in the genre for more than a decade, her research leads to revelatory discoveries, transforming our knowledge of those shadowy figures behind ill-famed names, and the terrible events that befell them.

After four centuries of superstition and surmise, the two central, warring families – each headed by a fiercely independent widow working as ‘cunning women’ – emerge fully formed, as the book uncovers the reality of their lives and their alleged crimes before exploring the trial and executions.

Along the way, we uncover the truth behind some of the story’s most enduring mysteries: the legend of Malkin Tower and the final resting place of the Pendle witches.
This is a ground-breaking book that will take the reader on a spellbinding journey into the dark heart of England’s largest and most notorious witch trial.

‘Massive, groundbreaking new research that sheds more truth on the Holocaust.’ – Helen Fry

Never told in detail before, this is the account of how, for four years, British and Allied codebreakers decrypted secret SS and Gestapo messages detailing the mass killings of the Holocaust, and how the Germans in turn deployed cryptanalysis to try to conceal their persecution of Europe’s Jews. The compelling and fast-paced narrative is told from the perspectives of two central and opposing characters, who never meet.

At Bletchley Park, there is the legendary but unsung British codebreaker Nigel de Grey, shy, determined, nicknamed ‘the Dormouse’ by his colleagues. In Nazi-occupied Poland, SS Major Hermann Höfle, a former taxi driver from Salzburg, and one of the Third Reich’s ruthless bureaucrats of mass death, oversees the operations of five concentration camps, including Treblinka.

De Grey fought hard to make sure the vital intelligence from decrypted signals reached Allied leaders and was acted on. Höfle, meanwhile, used complex coded messages to try to conceal the mass killings. De Grey worked with his American counterparts, as well as codebreakers and intelligence agents from the Soviet Union, France, the Vatican, Switzerland and Poland. Yet he had dangerous enemies closer to home: a cabal of senior British government and intelligence officials disbelieved or ignored repeated intelligence reports about the ongoing Holocaust.

Flawlessly researched, this is the story of a battle between good and evil, between life and mass death, a cat-and-mouse war of electronic wits. More than eighty years on, as Russian leaders face war crimes charges in international courts, the words ‘Never again’ seem more pertinent than ever.

DISCOVER THE TRUTH BEHIND THE HEADLINES, THE REVELATORY ROYAL BIOGRAPHY OF THE YEAR

From the Sunday Times bestselling author and Royal correspondent, Robert Jobson – with his extensive connections within the royal household – this revelatory new biography tells the full story of how Catherine, the Princess of Wales, became the woman she is today.

Kate Middleton’s life’s story seems like a modern-day fairy-tale.

An attractive, clever, and ambitious girl from unexceptional beginnings meets and falls in love with a wealthy prince destined to be King when they are both university undergraduates. Now, with the British monarchy in transition, Catherine is Princess of Wales and is set to become Queen.

Since her wedding on 29 April 2011, Catherine has endeared herself to the people of the UK, the Commonwealth and worldwide on her extensive travels, with her infectious smile, sense of style and down-to-earth nature. Her self-deprecation, willingness to laugh at herself, solid work-ethic – along with her husband, William, warmth, and accessibility – this royal family’s dynamic duo have become the most popular members of the Royal Family. But it’s not come without its fair share of commentary and scandal, particularly with recent revelations on the relationship of the ‘Fab Four’ with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as well as her own health scares.

As interest in the royals continues to gain legions of new, younger fans, there is increasing interest in their histories and back stories of the principal players in this story. This book aims to discover, through talking to close sources both on and off the record within the royal household, what has made Catherine the woman she is today.

'Apache at War' is a memoir of the author's service flying close-support helicopters with the AAC, from patrolling 'Bandit Country' in Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland, in the late 1990s, to taking out Taliban fighters in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in the mid to late 2000s, with active service in the Balkans and Iraq along the way; he was decorated for rescuing other soldiers from a helicopter that had crashed and caught fire. It is also a tribute to the relationship between the author and one of the most extraordinary combat aircraft ever to enter service, the AH-64 Apache, often referred to by its military callsign 'Ugly'.

**AS FEATURED IN THE TELEGRAPH**

The ultimate fighting machine…

The unflinching memoir of the elite combat pilot who flew it in action…

And his nail-biting story of training Prince Harry.

‘Rounds slammed the ground all around the Taliban. He hit the earth face first, vanishing into the foggy confusion of desert conflict. The Apache’s engines rumbled on as we orbited, hoping to see immediate harsh, hard proof that he was no longer a threat.’

Steve Jones is a former senior British combat pilot flying with the Army Air Corps (AAC), and Apache At War is his vivid and uncompromising account of flying ‘the ultimate fighting machine’, the Apache AH1 attack helicopter in action. From patrolling ‘Bandit Country’ in Northern Ireland in the late 1990s, to taking out Taliban fighters in Afghanistan in the mid to late 2000s, with active service in the Balkans and Iraq along the way: Steve Jones offers the taut, gritty, and graphic reality of flying in military service.

Besides his time spent in the air, Steve Jones was also a qualified instructor on the Apache. He brings us a first-hand account of his time spent teaching the then ‘Lieutenant H. Wales’ – Prince Harry – to fly and fight the aircraft. He tells of mentoring the hard-living prince, of equipping him with skills that would later bring out the best in him in Afghanistan, offering insights into Harry the soldier and pilot far removed from the media figure that we all know so well.

Immediate, dramatic, peppered with military insights and laced with laconic humour, Apache At War is a testament to the vital work of combat helicopter pilots, as well as an intimate salute to a truly remarkable aircraft.
